As part of our Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers & Photographers (RMOWP) Annual Conference, September 29 – October 2, we will partner with the Grand Junction Library on Friday, October 2, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM for a public showcase featuring photography, writing, and community interaction.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to share your work with the public, represent RMOWP, and help introduce new people to our group. We are also pleased to be partnering with the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum, whose members will share outdoor-themed writing during the event.
Participation Opportunities
RMOWP members may choose to participate in one or more of the following ways:
Photography Display Information
Each photographer will be assigned a table to display their work. Prints may be shown in any print format, including canvas, metal, framed, or unframed prints. There is no size limit, but your display must fit on your assigned table. Please bring your own tabletop easels or display stands as needed.
Writing Display and Readings
Members may display either published or unpublished work. We will also have a designated area for writers to read portions of their work to the public. If you are interested in reading, please indicate that on the form so we can organize time slots.
Important Notes
We are not allowed to sell items during the event. If someone is interested in purchasing your photography, books, or other work, please bring business cards or contact information.
If you are not attending this year’s conference but would still like to participate in the display, you may send your work to Steve Cochrane or arrange for an attending member to bring it on your behalf. We will do our best to make sure your work is included.
Participation Donation
We are asking each participant to make a $10 donation entry fee to help cover the cost of advertising and refreshments for the public during the event.
