2013 Writing Awards

Winners in the writing portion of the 2013 Contest were announced at the conference in Fruita, Colorado. There were 12 written works submitted in this year’s contest.

Writing Judge – Mary Taylor Young

Award-winning nature writer Mary Taylor Young has been writing professionally for over 20 years. She has published 13 books and hundreds of articles in periodicals such as Ladies Home Journal, Outside, and Wildlife Conservation. Mary writes from her home in Castle Rock, Colorado where she lives with her husband and daughter and many wild neighbors.
