Best of Show Writing went to Dan England for his article “The Longest Mile” published in the Greeley Tribune on May 31, 2005.

The judge

The writing and video categories judge was Joe Reid, with more than 22 years of experience as a writer, editor and publisher in the Rocky Mountain Region. He has written on subjects ranging from the endangered humpback chub to Latin jazz great Poncho Sanchez. A founding member of Book Organizations of Colorado, Reid currently works in the Public Information Office for the City of Westminster, Colorado. A child of the west, Joe always wishes he had more time to fish.
